Tijuana, B.C. — From October 16 to 19, Tijuana will host Expo Tequila Tijuana 2025, one of the most important celebrations dedicated to Mexico’s most iconic spirit. This year’s edition arrives with a historic announcement: for the first time, the festival will leave its traditional home on Avenida Revolución and move to Plaza Río Tijuana, due to safety concerns caused by the sinkhole that opened at the intersection of Calle 10 and Avenida Revolución.

For over two decades, Expo Tequila has been a central part of Tijuana’s cultural landscape, bringing together producers, tourists, and agave enthusiasts in a festive atmosphere. In 2025, organizer Mario Murrieta made the decision to relocate the event to prioritize the safety and comfort of attendees.
