Strengthening the bond: The Mega Region

While there was plenty to eat, drink, and enjoy, what truly stood out was the spirit of collaboration between cities such as Mexicali, Ensenada, Rosarito, Tecate, and San Diego. The Mega Region is more than a geographic label—it’s a living, breathing binational community connected by shared history, families, and the need to work together for a stronger future.

The vision of an integrated regional tourism model—where mountains meet the sea and innovation intersects with wellness, gastronomy, and cultural exchange—is becoming more tangible. As the gateway to Mexico and Latin America, Tijuana continues to affirm its role as a cultural and economic bridge in this shared cross-border landscape.
