Playas de Rosarito is set to become the epicenter of binational art with the fourth edition of Art Walk Rosarito, taking place May 24 and 25, 2025, at the State Center for the Arts (CEART) Playas de Rosarito. This free, family-friendly event will bring together artists, artisans, designers, and audiences from both sides of the border, cementing its reputation as an international cultural platform.
A Renewed and Interactive Art Fair
This year, Art Walk Rosarito debuts a new format: transitioning from an individual booth setup to a large shared pavilion, encouraging deeper interaction between visitors and the 40+ artists, artisans, and designers showcasing their work in the CEART plaza.
The central exhibition, “The Line That Unites: Cross-Border Connections,” will feature 51 artists in the international gallery, exploring life along the border through painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and textile art.

Opening Saturday, May 24 at 12:00 p.m. in the International Gallery at CEART, the group exhibition The Line That Unites: Cross-Border Connections brings together both established and emerging artists from Mexico and the United States.
Featured artists include Hugo Crosthwaite (Rosarito), Carlos Coronado (Mexicali), Alfonso Delgadillo (Arizona), Rob Friedman (San Diego), as well as participants from Oaxaca, Cuernavaca, Puebla, and Baja California.
The exhibition reflects on the ties, contradictions, and affections that shape the border experience—beyond just the topic of migration.
Cultural Program: Literature, Music, and Local Cuisine
Art Walk Rosarito 2025 offers a robust schedule of literary and performing arts, including:
- Literary Presentations: Readings and author panels featuring novels, poetry, and short stories by local voices such as Beatriz Lorena, Yomilett Rosales, and Elizabeth Cazessús.
- Live Music: Performances by soloists and ensembles from the Escuela Superior de Artes y Música, Academia de Música Allegro, Zaan Band, and the Coro Polifónico.
- Dance: Folkloric dance by Ballet Folklórico Yolihuani and family-friendly stage shows.
- Gastronomy: Regional food stalls, Baja California wines, and craft beer to enhance the sensory experience of the event.
A Binational, Community-Driven Event
Curated by a binational committee, the fair highlights artworks that speak to the shared realities of the border region. A free pavilion has also been created for UABC visual arts students, promoting generational exchange and expanding access to the arts.
Art Walk Rosarito seeks to strengthen regional identity, support the local creative economy, and attract visitors from both Baja California and Southern California. The event is funded through a combination of civil association support, institutional backing, and partnerships with private businesses and local vendors.
