
From February 27 to March 4, Playa Hermosa will be the heart of the Ensenada Carnival 2025, promising a vibrant celebration filled with music, culture, and unforgettable entertainment.
A Celebration for Locals and Tourists Alike
The Baja California Ministry of Tourism and the XXV Ensenada City Council invite residents and visitors to experience the Ensenada Carnival 2025, taking place from February 27 to March 4. This year’s edition will feature a diverse lineup of musical performances, traditional festivities, and exciting competitions.

February 27 – The festival kicks off with the traditional “Quema del Mal Humor” (Burning of the Bad Mood), a symbolic ritual to set the tone for a joyous celebration.
February 28 – The Carnival Coronation ceremony takes place, honoring this year’s king and queen.
March 3 – A showcase of local and regional talent, bringing the best of Ensenada’s music scene to the stage.
March 4 – The grand parade competition, where colorful floats and dance groups will compete for top honors.

Traffic and Route Changes for Carnival Parades 🚦
To ensure a smooth and safe experience, authorities have announced temporary road closures for the parade days:
- Saturday, March 1 – Boulevard Costero will be partially closed from 5:30 PM. Alternative routes are recommended.
- Sunday, March 2 – Boulevard Costero will be closed starting at 11:30 AM. The parade begins at noon, from Calle Macheros to Playa Hermosa.
Between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM, access to the cruise terminal will be restricted.
Once the event concludes, Rotario and Castillo streets will reopen for taxis and tourist operators. - Tuesday, March 4 – Boulevard Costero will be closed from 1:30 PM, with the parade starting at 2:00 PM.
Between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM, tourist transportation access to the cruise terminal will be restricted.
After the parade, Rotario and Castillo streets will be reopened.
