Baja California—Nómadas:The desert is not just crossed, it is felt. A challenge that goes beyond physical endurance and tests the ability to adapt, much like the species that inhabit this extreme ecosystem. Over three days, participants will cover 135 km across the Valley of the Cirios, a natural sanctuary where life has learned to resist the impossible, from towering cardón cacti to twisted torote trees and endemic cirios, along a route that connects Playa Altamira on the Pacific to Bahía de los Ángeles on the Gulf of California.

Nómadas is not a stroll. It is not a hike. It is a trial by fire for body and mind: 135 kilometers of pure endurance, technique, and adrenaline, where every step means gaining ground against one of Mexico’s most extreme deserts.

More Than Endurance: Strategy and Adaptation

Nómadas doesn’t just reward the fastest — it rewards the smartest. Success depends on reading the terrain, managing energy, hydrating at the right time, and knowing when to push forward or when to resist fatigue. The desert is an unforgiving rival: soaring temperatures, sudden changes in terrain, and stretches where solitude becomes as intense as the heat.

Crossing the finish line changes you. The body is marked by effort, and the mind, by the experience.

Trail Running and Ecotourism: A Winning Alliance

Nómadasis a race that challenges the boldest runners, combining physical endurance, strategy, and respect for nature. Just as the species of the Valley of the Cirios have adapted to survive in an extreme environment, those who dare to run this route will discover new ways to push their limits, connect with the landscape, and connect with themselves.

The central Baja California desert is not conquered — it is respected. And those who face it in Nomads know this land transforms you. Between tears, sweat, and blisters, the goal is not just reaching the finish line, but proving you can go beyond your limits.

Every runner who participates in Nomads not only lives a world-class sporting experience but also takes away a commitment to preserving the central Baja California desert. The event proves that adventure tourism can coexist with conservation, creating real benefits for local communities while fostering respect for a unique ecosystem.

Thanks to the organization of Baja Travesies and Península Trail Running, Nomadas stands as a unique trail running experience in Baja California, where adventure, culture, and nature meet at every kilometer.

The Challenge Is Yours

Running Nómadas is accepting a pact with the desert: it sets the rules, and you decide whether to break them. You know there will be blisters, the sun will burn mercilessly, fatigue will shadow you, and pain will be part of the package. But you also know that when you cross that finish line, you will have written your name in one of the toughest and most spectacular races in Mexico.

Three days. Two seas. One dessert. One goal.
The question is… do you have what it takes to run it?

Registrations open September 15.
